Guitarist/composer Andrew Zohn has won prizes in five national and international competitions including the Guitar Foundation of America and the Stotsenberg International. On demand as a soloist and chamber musician, Zohn has performed extensively throughout North America and in Europe. He is also widely sought after as a lecturer and clinician at universities and guitar festivals throughout North America. Currently, he resides in Georgia, and serves on the faculty of Columbus State University, the Guitar on the Mediterranean Festival in Cervo, Italy, and the Guitare Lachine Festival in Canada. He is also the founder and director of the annual CSU Guitar Symposium and Competition. Andrew Zohn began composing for the guitar in 1998, and has already received commissions for new works from La Flame Records, Canada, the Campbell University Foundation for the Arts, and the East Carolina New Music Festival. In recognition of his guitar compositions, Zohn was the recipient of a Plus Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). In a comprehensive review of his work, GuitArt Magazine commented, “With a sophisticated use of harmony and an inventive use of melodic and rhythmic motifs, Zohn’s compositions will surely find their way into standard concert programs.”
