Considered one of the most talented Brazilian guitarists of his generation, Daniel Murray pursues an active career as an interpreter and composer, performing in Brazil, Latin America and Europe since 1998. His discography includes twelve albums, six of them dedicated to solo guitar music. In 2011, he toured London (St. Martin-in-the-Fields and National Theatre, among others), Cambridge, Athens, Paris, Saint-Germain-lès-Corbeil and Septvaux, as well as taking part in the BIG (Guitar Biennial) in Chambéry/Lyon and the MIDEM Festival in Cannes. In 2018, he received a prize at the FMCB – Festival de Música Contemporânea Brasileira for his performance honoring Egberto Gismonti. In 2019, besides concerts in Chile (with Chilean Orquestra), Denmark (with Michala Petri and Marilyn Masur), and several concerts in Brazil (São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), Daniel released the album "Universo Musical de Egberto Gismonti" through Carmo/ ECM label produced by Egberto Gismonti.
